CFA Society of Columbus- Local Experts Panel on International Investments

Rwabutaza Asset Management will join The CFA Society of Columbus as The CFA Society of Columbus hosts a local panel of experts to discuss International Investments.

Jamie Li, CFA serves as Portfolio Manager at the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio, where she manages a multi-billion dollar active international equities portfolio. A strong believer in long term, fundamental value based investing, Jamie has maintained over a decade of consistent outperformance. An active volunteer with the CFA Institute, Jamie served as President and senior officer of the CFA Society of Columbus for multiple years. She received her MBA with High Honors from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago and a Bachelor’s in Architecture from Zhejiang University. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Jamie has diverse interests in arts, music and culture. She hosted several radio programs, enjoys drawing, painting and photography, and has participated in the production of two Grammy winning Jazz albums. |

Matt McLaughlin, CFA serves as a portfolio specialist for Diamond Hill and joined the firm in 2023. Prior to joining Diamond Hill, Matt served in a number of roles, including vice president – research, for Harbor Capital Advisors from 2008 to 2016, portfolio specialist for William Blair Investment Management from 2016 to 2019, and senior vice president, regional investment consultant for Harbor Capital Advisors from 2019 to 2023. Matt has a Bachelor of Arts in finance and marketing from Loras College. |

Bob Sharpe joined VELA Investment Management in 2020 and has served as Portfolio Manager on the International strategy since inception. He is also a Partner in VELA. Most recently, Bob served as a Partner, Vice President, and Portfolio Manager of the International Value Fund at Heartland Advisors. Bob’s other roles have included Portfolio Manager and Director of International Investments for STRS Ohio, and Equity Research Analyst for the Capital Group. Bob holds a B.A. from Williams College. |
